Arvika Kanot & Turistcenter

Fantastisk upplevelse: 7 jours en famille, enfants de 14 et 16 ans. Magnifique paysages sur un parcours d’un peu plus de 100km. Physique, mais pas trop… des vacances sportives, en connexion avec les éléments !

Fantastisk upplevelse: Ontzettend fijne ervaring gehad met deze organisatie. Mails worden snel en uitgebreid beantwoord. We arriveerden een dag op voorhand zodat we 's morgens fris aan onze 7-daagse tocht konden beginnen. Ze regelden een plekje voor ons op camping Ingestrand vlakbij het canoe centrum en aangezien we pas na de openingsuren van het centrum toekwamen, hadden ze onze tent al voor ons opgezet op de camping. We ontvingen een goede briefing voor de aanvang van onze tocht en de organisatie is steeds bereikbaar in geval van vragen of nood. Het personeel is allemaal ontzettend vriendelijk. Al het materiaal dat we huurden en meekregen voor onze tocht was dik in orde en de food box was meer dan voldoende en vol lekkere lokale producten. Eten dat over is, wordt aan het rode kruis gedoneerd, mooi initiatief! Bij aankomst kan je genieten van een warme douche en koffie of thee terwijl je iets in het guest book schrijft. Ze bieden verschillende tours aan met verschillende niveaus van moeilijkheid. Wij kozen voor de Rinnen toer met een variatie aan smallere rivieren en grote meren. Prachtige uitzichten, mooie eilanden en shelters en kampvuurplekjes op verschillende plekken goed aangegeven via de kaart. Grote aanrader!

Fantastisk upplevelse: This is our 2nd canoe trip with Arvika Kanot. It's is truly an amazing experience. You will enjoy beautiful landscapes though Swedish lakes and forests. I also would like to highlight Arvika Kanot local crew behaviour. They are very nice people and super friendly. By talking to them, you can see that they are committed with the region and sustainable tourism model. Everybody has the right to enjoy this place as long as our impact is minimum.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Die 7-tägige Lillälven Tour war sehr vielseitig und schön anspruchsvoll. Für uns eine sehr wertvolle und spaßige Erfahrung. Die Betreuung durch das Kanucenter war hervorragend, wie hier schon mehrfach beschrieben. Es war alles sehr unkompliziert und wir wurden nicht nur gut informiert und ausgerüstet, sondern hatten auch einen sehr netten Kontakt. Die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit unserem Hund gegenüber wussten wir sehr zu schätzen. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle nochmal an Christian für die Hilfe auch bei anderen Fragen und den ausgesprochen schönen Austausch! Schön zu sehen, wie ein Unternehmen Tourismus und Naturschutz so klar in Verbindung bringt.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Super gave trip! De omgeving is prachtig en er zijn heel veel mooie kampeerplekken rondom de meren. Het personeel is erg aardig en je merkt dat ze zelf ook van de omgeving en het kanoën houden waardoor ze goede tips kunnen geven. De briefing en het materiaal is erg goed. Toen wij op een eiland vast kwamen te zitten door de harde wind hebben ze heel goed met ons meegedacht wat het beste was en uiteindelijk een pick-up geregeld.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Die Woche Kanufahren mit Freunden war großartig! Der Service vom Kanucenter sehr nett, so war es uns zum Beispiel möglich bei der Abgabe der geliehenden Sachen auch die Leihzelte kontrollieren zu lassen, diese noch für ein weitere Nacht zu nutzen und sie in den frühen Morgenstunden abzugeben, um zeitig die Rückreise anzutreten.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Super freundliches Personal, welches auch Deutsch spricht. Englischkentnisse sind dennoch sehr vorteilhaft. Wir wurde super freundlich Empfangen und eingewiesen, auch bei Fragen konnte man uns immer weiterhelfen! Auch bei dem Essenspaket durfte wir ohne Aufpreis Kleinigkeiten umgestalten. War eine tolle Erfahrung, gerne wieder!

Fantastisk upplevelse: Wir haben zu zweit die Rinnen Kanutour gemacht. Es war das erste Mal, dass wir so eine Tour gemacht haben. Die Einführung durch unseren Guide war tiptop, ich habe mich sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Uns wurden alle wichtigen Informationen abgegeben, sodass auch für mich als Kanu-Neuling die Tour ohne Probleme machbar war. Ich würde beim Arvika Kanot & Touristcenter auch in Zukunft wieder eine Kanutour buchen.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Made a super trip. Started already with a super friendly reception, professional guidance and received some wild life information. Can recommend the Lillalven tour if you prefer more smaller lakes and rivers, the Glaskogen is more popular.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Wirklich grandios, war hier für eine 7-tägige Kanutour mit einem Kumpel. Für uns wurde alles vorbereitet, Kanu, Essenspaket, Einführung und Tipps.. all inclusive! Nicht gewollte Lebensmittel konnten sogar ersetzt werden. Einige Mitarbeiter*innen sprechen sogar deutsch. Ansonsten kommt man perfekt mit Englisch durch :) Kaffee gabs auch! Sanitäranlagen in gutem Zustand standen auch zur Verfügung. Sehr zu Empfehlen.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Wir habe eine Woche lang die Kanuwanderung "Rinnen" gemacht. (06.06.-13.06.2023. Tolles Wetter, 23 Grad und kein Regen.) Einwandfreie Planung im Vorfeld, super Betreuung per Mail und auch vor Ort. Mitarbeiter können teilweise deutsch und sehr gutes englisch. Es wurde uns alles erklärt und wir hatten zu jeder Zeit das Gefühl, uns auf das Team verlassen zu können. Wir hatten die Verpflegungstonne mit bestellt und waren von dem Inhalt sehr begeistert. Sirup und Kekse haben wir als Souvenir für uns nachgekauft. DANKE für die tolle Erfahrung.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Because of a cancelled flight we arrived a few hours later than the tour started. This was no problem and we got a good briefing for our tour. There was no hurry and we could take our time with packing our stuff in watertight containers. Because of the fire ban we needed a stove for cooking and it was no problem to rent one. The tour it self was beautiful and tranquil! Awesome and friendly staff with great service to top it off. You guys will see me back some time again!

Fantastisk upplevelse: Wij hebben een geweldige 7-daagse tour gehad. De kano en alle gehuurde spullen waren van perfecte kwaliteit en daarnaast hebben we een heel uitgebreide briefing gehad voor we het water op gingen. Bij veel wind hebben we het centrum gebeld en hebben zij ons voorzien van passend advies voor de specifieke situatie. Ook is er altijd een noodnummer dat je kunt bellen buiten kantooruren en dat gaf ons een heel veilig gevoel. Landtransporten zijn uitdagend maar goed te doen en voegen echt wat toe aan de reis. Paul en Linda, bedankt voor jullie hulp. Zou zeker aanraden hier een kano-trip te boeken!

Fantastisk upplevelse: Deze week de 4e kanotocht gemaakt in de afgelopen 8 jaar. Ook dit jaar was het weer als van ouds. Goede service, vriendelijk personeel, veilige chauffeurs en goede instructies. De manager dacht zelfs mee met een probleempje dat we hadden en kwam met een geweldige oplossing!

Fantastisk upplevelse: We (a couple with our medium sized dog) did the tour end of july, we went from cooler rainy and windy weather to sunshine and warmth. At the Arvika Kanot Center we met friendly and spontaneously helpful staff and received sturdy material of good quality. The 7 day tour though Glaskogen was hard due to the many and sometimes long portages; not suited for small children, plus we appreciated to do it clockwise. The food box we received at the center contained sufficient food for two hungry adults, but way too much food- no way we can eat any more kassler soon. ;-) We enjoyed the experience at this wonderful place!

Fantastisk upplevelse: We did the Lillälven tour this month. The canoe center is run bei very nice and helpful people. During the tour at some points we had to think twice about the next step or even muscle power was needed. But we were rewarded with unique moments and situations.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Wir hatten eine tolle 3 Tagestour (Fåfängen) mit wirklich wunderschönen Plätzen zum Zelten. Aufgrund dessen, dass es am Anfang der Saison war, waren wir gefühlt alleine unterwegs. Das Team war herzlich und kompetent, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden gut eingeführt. Der Campingplatz neben dem Kanu Center ist wie das Center sehr zu empfehlen! Das Tüpfelchen auf dem i wären im Vorhinein ein paar mehr Infos per Mail. Vielen Dank für das schöne Abenteuer :)

Fantastisk upplevelse: I did this 3 years ago, 1 week canoe tour. it was such a great experience that I still talk about it. I can only recommend it to everyone. comes across the most beautiful places of nature just for yourself, and the staff is very helpful they give you tips and tricks to make the most of your vacation. it is not too expensive, but be sure to pack enough food, the only store you come across has not much to offer.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Een ‘life changing experience’. Het kan enorm zwaar zijn maar je komt op de mooiste plekken van de wereld, waar je met de auto nooit zal komen. De instructeur Kevin is enorm behulpzaam en de eigenaar Luc is een van de aardigste mensen die ik ooit heb ontmoet.

Positiv upplevelse: Hadden een super vakantie! Alleen de briefing bij het begin mocht iets uitgebreider. De persoon die hem deed overliep stap voor stap waar we kano-den en waar een landtransport was (wat gemakkelijk van de kaart te lezen was) maar waar je de landhandels kon vinden die niet op de route lagen (toch 2 van de 3) kregen we bv niet mee. En dat is wel lastig als je zonder eten zit...

Positiv upplevelse: The reason why we give three instead of four stars us because the reservation proces is not managed unambiguously by each person. As we initially intended to cancel our reservation for 4 days canoe tour because of the weather, the person said that we would get the 50% prepayment back. Then someone else (the boss?) told is that there will be no refund. Also it appeared to be a problem to bring us to an alternative location, while in an earlier email it was stated that that could be arranged. Finally we made the tour, so the whole issue became obsolete. And for the rest we were happy with the material and the service. It's a nice location and the camp looks very good. My advise: don't make a reservation, since they have a lot of canoes. Or make clear appointments on the cancellation conditions. Advise to the organisation: get your drivers Covid vaccinated, so that they can bring vaccinated people into Norway!

Positiv upplevelse: We booked the 3 day Koppom tour and had a good time on the river and lakes. The staff was friendly and explained everything important to us. Still we only want to give 3 stars since the "cost/performance ratio" is not really balanced. You get the transport to the starting point and a map but everything else (from loading your kanot to unpacking, cleaning and putting the heavy Kanot back on the pile) you gotta do all by yourself. So you pay 1450 SEK per person just for the transport and map and to borrow the the kanots and equipment. To borrow a waterproof barrel costs 85 SEK extra! Further, we expected the tour to be not as exhausting (since it's recommended for beginners and families - we're a group of fit ppl, all around 20 years old). We would not recommend doing the tour as a family! By the end of the tour, we were super exhausted and than disappointed that we did not get any help cleaning or at least stocking the heavy kanots. It's still an unique experience and we felt very close to nature.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Super semaine organisée par arvika kanot avec le tour glaskogen. Superbes lacs et 8 portées plus ou moins difficile. Nous avons pris les pack cuisine et nourriture et c'était très bien (petit bémol pour le café et les soupes). Contact avec le personnel tres facile et toujours disponible. Je recommande chaudement.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Location de deux VTT sur le site internet. Finalement nous arrivons plus tôt que prévu mais pas de soucis pour les prendre plus tôt. Les prix sont très abordables. Petit plus, le monsieur et la jeune fille qui nous ont accueilli parlent français ! Très bonne expérience.

Fantastisk upplevelse: We had an amazing time canoeing at Arvika. The staff was very helpfull both via e-mail prior to our arrival and on site. Along with the canoe, we rented the tent and the food box. The tent is warm and dark (very important during the summer in Sweden) and the food box was full of easy and delicious meals. Both excellent and worth renting. The tour itself was wonderfull. Spending a whole week almost alone in nature was an experience we hope to repeat in the future.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Mycket trevligt och bra! Vi var här med jobbet och gjorde lite teambuilding aktiviteter. Det var roligt med bra och trevligt personal. Sen fick vi äta middag i en fin stor tipi tält. Vi sat vid fin dukat bord på bänkar med renskinn. Efter maten kunde vi bada lite I glafsfjorden och sätta oss i vedeldad badtunna under stjärnhimmel. Så underbart! Jag rekommenderar

Fantastisk upplevelse: Would definitely recommend a trip here. We were 5 guys who took the lilläven trip an added an ekstra day to have 8 days in total(7 nights). The first part of the trip was really good, with small rivers and small lakes and plenty of places to camp. We were all alone for the first 4-5 days. The last three days we got out on the big Glaskogen lake. This is not as fun, but you can still find good places to sleep. We had the wind in our faces, so rowing was tough and time consuming. I would however recommend this trip for adult groups. Some of the passages where you have to get the canoe out of the water are pretty tough. But it is definitely worth it to go for the long trip, if you want the trip for yourselves.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk, voor vertrek hebben we een duidelijke briefing gehad. Wij hadden gekozen voor de Glaskogen toer van 7 dagen. De toer is ook te doen op 5 dagen als je wat doorpeddelt en goed weer hebt. De eerste 2 dagen hebben wij slecht weer gehad en niet veel afstand kunnen doen dus de 7 dagen waren ideaal. Ze hebben ook goed uitgelegd wat we bij slecht weer moesten doen.

Positiv upplevelse: I did the famous lake tour and it was a one in a life-time experience. The landscapes are breathtaking and you really feel like you're the only one in the world making one with the beautifully preserved nature of Sweden. I got lost at some point and had to find some local people to help me and they were very kind to me. The only little thing was maybe the food. I had taken the food package for the all week Arvika make for yourself and it happened to be slightly not enough for the all trip (but otherwise good products and good taste) .Otherwise I would 100% recommend it.

Men spreekt er perfect engels en er loopt ook een nederlandse rond als engels moeilijk is. Het is survival dus hotels ga je hier niet direct vinden. Pak je tentje al maar in

Positiv upplevelse: We hebben hier een kanoetocht van 7 dagen gedaan. Lekker even weg. Goed verzorgde kanoes en locatie waar je alles kan huren wat je nodig hebt. Wij hadden zelf tent en materialen nodig dus alleen de kanoe mee gehad. Netjes weggebracht met een route kaart. Fijn dat er een karretje bij zat voor de portages! Heel leuk gehad met prachtig weer.

Fantastisk upplevelse: This is an amazing spot to rent a boot and paddle around on the lakes in the area. The people working there are really friendly and the area is very nice and we had a lot of fun, even we only did a day tour. The camping ground next to it is very nice as well!

Positiv upplevelse: Very Nice experience. Second time we did a tour at aktc. We were very Lucky with the weather. The portages can be very hard, but this is part of the experience. On big lakes the waves and wind can be though. 7 days was juist enough for us. Great trip.

Fantastisk upplevelse: De beste kano organisatie die er is! Na 20 jaar nog een keer 4 dagen met de kano weg, wild kamperen, genieten van de natuur en nu met onze kinderen. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en helpen overal waar ze kunnen. Voor je begint wordt de route besproken en tips gegeven. Tegenwoordig zijn er ook shelter plaatsen waar je kunt kamperen. Onderweg zelf waren er niet veel andere kampeermogelijkheden. Het materiaal is van goede kwaliteit. Tip: zorg zelf voor goede slaapmatjes. Wij hadden deze gehuurd, maar die zijn wel heel erg dun. Niet heel veel geslapen, maar ach dat hoort er bij. Kortom: een topvakantie!

Fantastisk upplevelse: Arvika is not near from France but 30 years ago, as a couple we had a wonderful 1 week canoe tour there. Thanks to the staff explanations, the well documented maps, we discovered Varmland, a bit of Sweden, the lakes, the Trangia in the equipment and food box. 15 years ago, we came back as a family and enjoyed the same tour with the addition of marshmallow barbecue (kids ideas). 2 years ago my son came back on his own in his pursuit of happiness. Needless to say that the experience has each time been great and has built long-lasting memories for us. Without hesitation, I would recommend Arvika Canoe Center as a family tradition !

Negativ erfarenhet: If I could give 0 stars I would do it. NEVER AGAIN Het is niet wat het lijkt. Wij hebben helaas het ongeluk gehad dat het super slecht weer was. Jammer want door vorige recensies te lezen waren de verwachtingen vrij hoog. We werden niet ingelicht wat te doen bij slechte weersomstandigheden en de viskwekerij die we niet mochten overvaren. Het was op bepaalde momenten onverantwoord om te kanoën wat ook ontmoedigend werkte. De landtransporten waren super zwaar maar daar werd natuurlijk niets over gezegd. (Super veel respect voor de meisjes die het zonder mankracht hebben moeten doorstaan). Het kanocenter profiteerde er ook goed van om door te rekenen. We kwamen vroeger aan in het kamp en werden de ochtend nadien pas op een zeer arrogante manier ingelicht dat we moesten bij betalen terwijl ze ons wel zelf uitnodigden om in de tippie te gaan overnachten. Fietsen huren, koffie kopen, werden bij verschillende mensen aan andere prijzen aangerekend. Echt teleurstellend. Voor ons nooit meer.

Fantastisk upplevelse: Great staff and perfect tours

Fantastisk upplevelse: Great experience, the team is very nice! We rent a canoe for the Glaskogen trip. They help you a lot before departure, with advices and places you should see or avoid. The trip is well organized, the nature reserve is gorgeous! Not too many people on the tour, which is pleasant. The canoe and the equipment are good, you feel safe using it. Be careful still, you have to carry your canoe from time to time! Be sure you are able to do so (difficult for children I think), it is heavy, the paths are sometimes trail paths, and it is for several kilometers. We are good walkers and very sportive, and it was not easy. The only thing I could say to make the experience even better, may be for the staff to be a bit more present when people return, we felt a bit alone at this moment. Anyway, thank you so much for the experience and the trip, keep going, it was great, we even think about coming back to do another tour!

Fantastisk upplevelse: Super semaine passée grâce a Arvika Kanot. Tout le monde parle anglais, quelques uns français. Très bonne organisation, prix très correct. Je recommande

Fantastisk upplevelse: Kann mich nur den positiven Rezensionen anschließen: kompetent, jung, freundlich, flexibel, hilfsbereit dazu faire Preise! Was will man mehr? > gutes Wetter natürlich, was uns leider grösstenteils versagt war (unglückliches timing nach Monaten der Dürre) Hatten trotzdem eine gute Zeit :)
